Background

The first 1000 days in any child’s life are critical, having the right nutrition in that time enabling optimum development from a physiological, biological and brain function point of view. Poor nutrition intake could affect health in later life thus, it is important to form good habits early to give babies a healthier life towards adulthood.

Breast milk is the gold standard but there are circumstances that prevent babies getting this source of nutrition or need additional
supplementary nutrition. Breast milk substitutes and additional supplementation are required when breast milk do not suffice due to medical circumstances.

We are keen to learn how healthy nutritional habits can be formed in those first 1000 days, specifically especially when infants are transiting from milk to solid foods.
