Background

Many solutions for those diagnosed with mental health conditions or illnesses are prescription drugs. There has been a noticeable increase in the recommendation and use of talk therapies in addition to medication as treatment for diagnosed mental health conditions such as depression and/or anxiety. These solutions available to those who meet or surpass threshold criteria determined through a consultation with a health care professional, using Global Standardized diagnostic questionnaires.


There are many people on a global scale however who don’t meet this threshold criteria for diagnosis, meaning support is not provided even though they could be suffering with low emotional wellbeing. 


Stress and stress-related low emotional wellbeing is a massive health issue with 39% of people reporting they are stressed in the US and 74% of people in the UK reporting at some point they have felt so stressed that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.


People suffering from low emotional wellbeing need accessible solutions that can provide proactive interventions. As a result, there is an increase in digital solutions, apps, offering ways in which to monitor and manage low emotional wellbeing. The efficacy of some supported through clinical evidence.
